And the opposites true, if it’s a bright sunny day, then you should use low ISO. Remember that images taken at high ISO will introduce some grains into the picture and this is called as noise.

4> One of the best way to improve your photography skill is by joining interactive photography websites, where are lot of experts as well as newbies will hang around. When ever you take an image which you think is worth sharing, upload it and let the community share their opinion on that image. You’ll hear ideas about how the image could be made better or what’s wrong with the image.
Also, if you see an image that’s nice, try to get in touch with the photographer and get more details about how the photographer achieved that shot.
5> Always make it a point to shoot the images in RAW format. RAW images are normally bulkier than the regular ones. But the advantage of RAW images are that it captures great deal of information, which other wise is filtered by the sensors in the camera.
6> You always see amazing pictures taken by some great photographers. How many of them do you think use Adobe photoshop ? If you think that a very less number of successful photographers use Adobe photoshop, then you are wrong. Almost every body uses Adobe photoshop and as far as I know, may be just around .001% of the great images that are floating around in the internet are pure without any processing. So as a budding photographer you have to learn to use Adobe photoshop. It’s really easy to use and is the best in the market.
7> When ever you are taking photos, just take huge number of photos. Investing on memory card for your Camera is a good investment. Experiment by taking a lot of photographs and you’ll gradually learn more about the pictures you take as time passes by.
8> Now I know all you photographers are eager to take images, but make sure you study those pictures once you take them. Get back to your room, put it on to your comp and see what’s wrong and what’s right with those images. Keep track of your improvement and compare the images what you take with those what you’ve taken in the past. You’ll realize that as time passes by you’d have improved in some manner.
Well there is one more important thing. Once you take the photos, do make it a point to store and back-up your images safely. I’ve personally had a bad experience where I had stored all the images on my hard drive and one bad crash wiped out all the images. The strategy I follow now is that as soon as the images cross a certain limit, I store a copy of them on a DVD and make sure it’s kept in a safe place. So even if the hard drive dies on me, I’ll have a back up copy that saves my skin !
