A website to share and broadcast videos, photos and audio from your own machine
Pixpo.com - Personal broadcasting.
This site offers video/photo/audio sharing but with a difference- that is- files are served from your own machine,
saving the headache of uploading files and allowing them to be delivered at full confidence.
All users have a choice of whether their files can be public or they want it to remain private.
This works as an additional bonus point for they have the choice to share their files with only those whom they prefer.
But with the new P2P photo-sharing apps, you needn’t spend time uploading. Instead, photos move seamlessly from desktop to desktop.
The rub is that you have to convince your friends and family to download and install the client.
To set up a “private” album, simply enter an e-mail address for each recipient. Existing PiXPO users receive a message alerting them to the new album, and they can then pull your pictures straight into their PiXPO client. Non-PiXPO users receive a link to a private Web page—hosted by How2Share Technologies—where they can view low-resolution copies of your pictures in any browser or, if they like, download the PiXPO client. To share an album with the entire PiXPO network, you simply uncheck an option in a dialog box, giving anyone with a PiXPO client access to it. This is a surprisingly popular feature among PiXPO users.
