Thanks for your time. If you want to transfer music to your beloved iPod but you don’t have iTunes installed on your computer, then follow this step by step.
At first you need to enable iPod as a storage.
Enable your iPod to work as a portable hard disk by following these steps:
- Connect your iPod to your computer.
- Select your iPod in the iTunes Source list.
- Click the Options button in the lower-right corner of the iTunes window to open the iPod preferences window.
- Click “Enable disk use.” This will allow your iPod to both store your files and play your music.
- Notice the icon that appears onscreen. Double-click the icon to see what’s stored on your iPod.
- Drag the files you want to store on your iPod to the iPod window.
- When you’re done, click the iPod Eject button in the lower-right corner of the iTunes window. The iPod screen will display “OK to disconnect” when it is safe to unplug it.
If you want to eject your iPod and iTunes is not running
If you’ve enabled your iPod to be used as both a music player and a portable hard disk, you’ll need to eject the iPod from your computer before you disconnect it. Click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows System Tray, and then select the iPod to remove.
Secondly, you need a Floola application. Download here.
Floola is a freeware application to efficiently manage your iPod or your Motorola mobile phone (any model supporting iTunes except iPhone and iPod touch). It’s a standalone application that can be run directly from your iPod and needs no installation under Linux (any GTK2 distro), Mac OS X (10.3.9 or newer!) and Windows (98 or newer, including Vista).
That’s all you need folks!
